Hi, (especially dudestar & grooveagent),

I've put some gifs on http://www.improspect.nl/docs/axispics/
I don't have enough time to explain, if you can use some of it I'm happy.
Just notice this: "links" means left and "rechts" means right.
1 = thumb and 5 = pink
enjoy,
Sander

Thank you dudestar, glad it helped, I will get back onto playing techniques when I next find the time. Yes, this is a good forum with some well thought- out contributions.

To anybody - Regarding Jacqueline's comment about Opal and Axis, I naturally agree both instruments have their place and it's not a competition; to me its always been a project - but I would like to get one thing straight: that I don't expect or believe anyone should buy an instrument just because it's 'hand-built by the inventor'! (Unless its an investment for their grand-children!)

A good reason to buy one would be for what it has to offer in terms of features and capabilities not found on anything else. If those features are not important to the user then they should save money and buy just what's needed for their particular usage.

excellent work, grooveagent :)! I had been investigating the modal patterns on my own, hoping to some day build some templates, and now you've done this for us! :)

Thanks, dudestar. At the moment I am working on harmonisation of major scale, harmonic minor and melodic minor. Also I try to vary the colors. If you have any suggestions for example about coloring the triad and scale tones you are welcome. I will update the patterns too with 480*320 pixel. If you load them to an ipod touch you can see them as slideshow and you will never forget the structure of the modes ;) or the respective triads.

They're great! :D
Any suggestions how to remember these for improvising in a particular scale? :?:
Keep on going: saves me a lot of time ;)
